October was fun and festive!
We were at Apple Harvest Day on a sunny Saturday at Henry
Law Park in Dover, NH. Everyone was
there having so much fun and enjoying the spectacular day. Lots of our preschool friends came up before
the show to double check and make sure the dogs were with me.
The next week on Thursday afternoon Big dog, Doggie and I
headed north to the Pownal Elementary School for their big Book Fair. The
children read me some books and I told my "Scary" Halloween story that ends in
a big "Boo!" When they heard that
"Boo! " everyone all lifted off the ground by at least two inches!!
It was a delight to visit the three kindergarten classes at
North Berwick Primary School. It was the first visit of my monthly program
there through May 2008. It is going to be so wonderful to be able to see
everyone learn and grow through out the whole year. We had a great time!
Then on Saturday we were off to the York Harvest Fest for
singing and dancing and eating and riding all around town in the big horse
drawn wagon. It's a great volunteer event with so many folks who give back to
their community. We see old friends every year, some have been visiting me
since they were two years old and now are grown up and are almost as tall as I
am!
Since this is the time of year for harvesting pumpkins Big
Dog, Doggie and I went to Great Pumpkin Day at Smolak Farms in North Andover,
MA. After we sang and laughed with everyone we went to the bakery for pumpkin
cookies, pumpkin cake, pumpkin pie and of course pumpkin ice cream! Big Dog made the children laugh when he
tried to eat a whole pumpkin! He almost
did it, but not quite!
