January
was fun, exciting and snowy!
The dogs
had an especially good time once again on our
monthly visit to the Barrington
Moms Club! They don't say much there,
but they enjoy all the nice pats they receive
as the young ones rush up and crowd around.
The dogs just love those hugs & kisses.
The toddlers don't quite understand the jokes
those silly dogs are making, but they
definitely know something is amiss when Big
Dog starts mooing like a cow!
Next were
off too our new monthly session at Growing
Places in Lee, NH
where the children are alert and
attentive. Who is this man
with the blue cap anyway? It was 10 years ago
when we visited this day care location and
then it was called Merri-Lee Center. It's
great to be back in the old country
neighborhood with all new little friends.
Doggie
(alias "Little Dog") made a visit to
North
Berwick Primaryin January. I thought
the kindergarteners wouldn't take him
seriously and boy they had us fooled! All the
children loved Doggie! He
was very popular! There
were questions, "Do you have another
dog?" So next month Big Dog gets to visit
just before Valentine's Day.
He is so excited to be visiting the
kindergarten in his own hometown! Hope
he doesn't decide to start going to
kindergarten everyday on his own. Doggie will
wonder where he is!
It is
cabin fever season and it's the time of year
when the dogs and I visit lots of preschools.
I just saw my old friends at "Stay
and Play"
and the Dover
Children's Center who combined classes
for a visit at the new multi-purpose McConnell
Center in Dover.
Also
present were young children of parents
studying English at the Dover
Adult Learning Center.It was
collaboration! These
particular children from DALC do not speak
English, but since music is a universal
language, everyone was having a wonderful
time!
Finally it
was off to Boston for our annual visit to the Carousel
School.
It's a great old-fashioned school building
that reminds me of when I was in kindergarten.
They have wonderful wooden toys and big
picture books that the dogs couldn't tear
themselves away from!
We also
stopped at McLean
Child Care Center in Belmont, where the
children are happy to have a musical visitor.
The children were talking to the dogs and me
the minute we walked into the room even though
some of the toddlers only knew how to say five
words.
The dogs
and I are always happy in February because
there are lots of great Valentines songs and
activities to share with the children! The
dogs love the great Valentines
they get to bring home, especially the
chocolate ones!
